Regal Developments instructed APL to act as project managers in the development of a new surgery for a 7 doctor practice serving a patient list of 11,000.
The planning process was protracted and difficult and APL led the patient and resident consultation exercise on the surgery’s relocation which involved mobile exhibitions, press releases, public consultations and multi-lingual questionnaires.
The building was the first in Milton Keynes to meet the new sustainability standards policy in Milton Keynes requiring renewable energy sources. APL successfully identified and specified the necessary technology to achieve what was then a completely new diversion both for designers and Building Control alike.
At handover, APL oversaw the fit out of the surgery and managed the delivery and installation of all fixtures and fittings.
