The Guinness Trust undertook the lead developer role on this project of 234 houses and flats which included a 7 storey landmark building. This area of Milton Keynes was specifically designated for high performance buildings and all dwellings on this development had to achieve Eco Homes “Excellent” standard at a time when the norm was “Good”.
Guinness delivered the affordable housing element of 70 dwellings in a mix of flats and houses for rent and shared ownership and partnered with Bellway Homes who developed the balance for open market sale.
Avebury Projects was commissioned by The Guinness Trust as Employers Agent and Quality Control Inspector in respect of the affordable housing, but also as the Trust was responsible for the overall development, to maintain a watching brief on the sale housing being delivered by Bellway.
