This is an exemplar pilot scheme of 20 new houses and flats which are designed to Code Level 5 (CH5) on land provided by Ashford Borough Council on the edge of an existing local authority estate.
In order to achieve Code Level 5, a variety of ‘state of the art’ echo-friendly features have been incorporated into the project design and specification, ranging from photo voltaic solar panel, biomass boilers, rainwater harvesting, grey water recycling etc.
The project will be built using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) including the use of Structurally Insulated panel system (SIPS) which, as well as enhancing the quality of the finished product and accelerating the build rate, will help in achieving the standards required for CL5 housing.
APL has been involved since scheme inception in the planning of the project to deliver this aspirational scheme.
